Embodied Meditation was birthed out of Bio Self-Emergence Theory. Throughout Kiera Laike's career as a psychological therapist, all roads ended at the same place for her - clients were not living the life she had hoped psychological support would provide. She looked for integrative models where the treatment was inclusive. In asking, we receive - information began coming to Kiera - on most days, faster than she could write it down. The journey ended with an interactive practical theory of Bio Self-Emergence, the Journey of the Soul Essence into the Body Experience.

Kiera homeschools her son. Kiera and her husband Emrys have been married for over 20 years. Emrys is a gifted healer. He has brought his gifts into being to support Kiera in her teaching. After a career in computers, database, and web development, he fed his passion for wood and his artistic eye to become a wood turner.

Kiera Laike is an Interrelated Embodied Realm Walker. She founded the Embodied Wellness Center in 2004 to teach her Emergence Principles and Embodied Meditation. She currently teaches three Embodied Practice classes, one Embodied Realm Therapist training, and one Embodied Meditation Teacher training program. She maintains an active embodied healing practice in person in Michigan and worldwide via remote.

Kiera’s formal training began at Trinity College where she received her BA in psychology and minored in Bible. She furthered her education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she received a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work. Kiera completed training and is a Certified Bioenergetics Analysis Therapist (CBT). Kiera received her Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) from Belford University, an online institution that honors life experience. Her work on developmental theories in Sensology and her 7 years of seminar training in Functional Medicine were accepted.

Kiera’s formal career in the mental health field began in 1982 where she provided in-home counseling in Wayne County, Michigan. Kiera worked a series of outpatient mental health clinics, always working with her clients on the cutting edge of treatment and programs.

Kiera developed a specialty in program development to meet the ever-changing and expanding needs of the mental health client base. When she was working in Minnesota, she brought in a new era of outpatient treatment programs, developing the first eating disorder treatment program to be implemented in the schools. Some of the additional programs that Kiera developed during her career included an adolescent outpatient substance abuse treatment program, a women’s identity program, and a couple’s communication group.

Kiera retired (after being a clinic director for 3 outpatient mental health clinics) in 1998 from her long career as a psychotherapist to begin commit full-time to development of her theory of Sensology, her writings, and her energetic teachings. Kiera’s transition was fueled and motivated by her deep awareness that humans are truly energetic beings. This awareness augmenting her work has had a profound effect in helping clients develop the skills and resources they need to fulfill their soul purpose, creating a life in affinity with what is.

Kiera’s clients genuinely appreciate her expansive heart, clarity, and deep acceptance of their own individual journey. Kiera is a gentle and gifted guide in the gathering of your own soul essence, allowing you to create and experience life in relationship to all things.

Emrys Laike has been on his healing journey for well over 23 years. His spiritual growth has progressed through many different avenues, all of which have enriched and deepened his life. Through this growth and healing, he has resolved many personal issues and gained strength and confidence in himself and in his energy work. Emrys credits this journey with providing the foundation for discovering the artist within himself and the strength to pursue making a name and a success with his wood turning.

Through his own healing process and with the insight and support of his wife, Kiera Laike, Emrys has discovered and expanded his own healing capabilities. The energy work energizes and informs Emrys in everything he does.

In 1989, on a road trip with his wife Kiera, she turned to him and said she wanted to study all religions. He had the same thought. They began that weekend. Transformation progressed from only what science could confirm to include that which can be sensed through the chakras. Emrys assists Kiera in finding science to back up her energetic sensing, especially about the structure and function of energies.

During his journey, Emrys unveiled a past life that included the skill to infuse energies into objects, a skill that he is learning and using in his wood art as he shapes the pieces and decorates them. Emrys is particularly drawn to Celtic artwork and creates his own designs for use in his work.

Through all his hands-on work and through all his support of Kiera’s work, Emrys has grown in his own healing and energetic abilities. Emrys' multifaceted skills, warm heart and dedication make him a wonderful healer and spiritual guide. His deep connection to the earth and many of its facets bring a uniquely grounded perspective and effectiveness to his work.
